February Favorites!!

Where does the time go Royals?!

This year is already zipping by! I want to start every month by recapping the things I was loving in the previous one. Can’t move forward until you look back right? There’s not a whole lot I was obsessed with last month (I don’t think). We’ll see at the end of this post. I’m kind of thinking about it as I go. So let’s just jump right in!

ESSIE ‘Matte About You’

You all know I was raving last week about matte nails. Well instead of picking up a ton of matte nail polishes, I opted for Essie’s matte topcoat! I’ve only tried it with a dark blue and a dark burgundy, but I’ve loved the results of both manicures. It’s pure genius, last longer than regular matte nail polish and instantly DOUBLES my nail polish collection!!

Etienne Aigner Leather Costa Boots

These boots have gotten a TON of wear over the past month. A good pair of leather riding boots makes the simplest of outfits classic. Now all I need is the pony…

Synthetic Sigmax Duo Brushes

One area were a lot of women miss it is investing in quality makeup brushes. And with prices ranging from $30-$50 just for ONE makeup brush, I can see why! But having a professional makeup brush will make all the difference in the way your foundation/eyeshadow/blush looks and applies. Instead of your foundation looking like a mask, it will blend in flawlessly with your skin. I really wanted MAC makeup brushes, but I just couldn’t justify the cost. Sigma makeup brushes are excellent quality for a fraction of the price. The Synthetic Sigmax Duo brushes are perfect for foundation/blush/contouring/highlighting. And because they’re synthetic, they won’t soak-up your product like natural bristle brushes. The best part? They’re on SALE for $25!! Click the banner on the right to check them out!

Viva La Juicy Perfume

My Bestie gave me this huge travel tube for Christmas and I’ve been rocking it ever since! I love the way it smells and how it mixes with all my various body lotions. When this runs out, I might actually get the full size! But not before I get my Sean John ‘Empress’ I’ve been drooling over.

Blistex Revive & Restore

This winter has been reeking havoc on my lips. My normal remedies for dry lips just wasn’t working! So in search of the medicated Blistex (which I still got), I decided to pick up a pack of their new Revive & Restore. For less than $3, you get TWO stackable lip balms. Revive is lighter and contains SPF15 for the day, while Restore is thicker and perfect for applying just before bed or when you need extra moisture.

Makeup Forever HD Foundation

I originally got this as a sample at Sephora and fell in love. That teeny-tiny sample pot lasted about 2 months. That’s how little of this stuff you really need. Honestly, because of the price, I really didn’t want to like it. At $40 a bottle, it’s quite expensive in my opinion. However….*sigh*…It’s worth it! I just hate I bought M.A.C.’s Pro Longwear SPF 10 Foundation ($30) a couple weeks before I discovered how great this one was.

NC45 Studio Finish Concealer SPF 35

Speaking of M.A.C…If you follow my blog, you know I use M.A.C.’s Studio Finish Concealer in NC50 to cover any unwanted blemishes, etc. But now I use the lighter NC45 to shape/clean up around my eyebrows and it gives such a cleaner look! Sometimes I apply it as my under eye concealer to brighten up that area. A lot of makeup artist do this and now I see why. It makes such a difference!

It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product

I’ve heard so much about this product it’s ridiculous. Apparently it does 10 amazing things instantly: 1. Repairs dry damaged hair. 2. Adds shine. 3. Smoothes and controls frizz. 4. Seals and protects hair color. 5. Detangles. 6. Prevents split ends. 7. Stops hair breakage. 8. Creates silkiness. 9. Enhances natural body. 10. Flat iron spray and thermal protector. It hasn’t really worked “miracles” on my hair, but it does help my strands to retains moisture much better. And my ends do seem to be improving! Regardless, I’m a conditioner fanatic and will continue to use this product.

Leave a comment below! What were you in love with last month? It could be beauty products, clothes, books….ANYTHING! I’d love to know!!

Happy March!
